AI Engineer - 2+ Years Experience

Job Summary:
The AI Engineer is a hands-on developer responsible for building and operating AI-powered software
systems that deliver real business value. This role focuses on integrating AI models, agents, and automation into production systems and workflows to improve how software is built and how products function.
This is an applied engineering role focused on practical implementation rather than research or theoretical machine learning work.

Key Responsibilities:
Applied AI Engineering & Development
• Design and build software systems where AI is a core capability.
• Apply AI agents and automation to solve business and product problems.
• Convert product requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable AI-enabled solutions.
• Focus on practical AI usage such as prompting, integration, orchestration, deployment, and evaluation.

• AI-First Software Development
  Use AI tools daily for:
  - AI-assisted coding
  - Automated workflows and engineering agents
  - AI-based testing and debugging
  - AI-supported documentation and monitoring

• Continuously improve how AI is used to increase development efficiency and quality

Collaboration
• Work closely with product teams and engineers to deliver AI-powered features.
• Contribute to shared platforms and tools supporting AI-enabled development.
• Balance rapid delivery with long-term system stability.
Quality & Reliability
• Ensure AI-enabled systems meet standards for performance, security, and reliability.
• Implement monitoring and safeguards for AI behavior in production.
• Take ownership from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
Continuous Learning & Improvement
• Stay updated on AI tools and practices used in real-world systems.
• Experiment responsibly with new AI capabilities and apply learnings to production systems.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.

Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering background with experience building production systems.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools or APIs in real applications.
• Ability to independently move from problem definition to working solutions.
• Comfortable working in small, autonomous teams.
Preferred
• Experience integrating AI platforms or models into enterprise or SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern development stacks.
• Experience working in enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• Background in product-focused engineering team.
