Core Responsibilities:

• Framework Engineering: Design, build, and enhance modular, extensible automation frameworks for Web UI, API, and backend testing to maximize reusability and scalability.
• Mentorship & Technical Guidance: Inspire and coach QA engineers, nurturing a high-performing, automation-first mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Tool & Tech Innovation: Proactively explore and champion new tools, frameworks, and best practices, keeping our automation ecosystem future-ready.
• DevOps-Driven Testing: Advocate and operationalize automation integration with CI/CD/CT processes—seamlessly connecting quality gates to platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
• Agile Partnership: Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams, ensuring testability and comprehensive coverage are embedded early in the software development lifecycle.
• Quality Intelligence: Establish robust quality metrics and transparent reporting to demonstrate automation impact, test coverage, and product health.
• Problem Solver: Proactively identify gaps and engineering bottlenecks, delivering innovative, scalable solutions to reinforce our quality standards.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in automation, with leadership exposure as a Senior SDET or automation architect.
• Advanced programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (Java, Python highly preferred), plus proficiency with scripting (JavaScript).
• Strong expertise with a suite of automation tools:
  • UI: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress.
  • API: REST Assured, Postman.
  • Frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, etc.
• Demonstrated ability integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communicator and analytical thinker, with proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities.

Stand-Out Qualities (Advantageous):

• Experience leveraging generative AI or ML tools for test automation (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, Gatling).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) or container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Insight into security testing with tools like OWASP ZAP.
• Professional certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are valued.
