Role & responsibilities

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

Python programming (strong proficiency). 

Selenium WebDriver/Playwrite (UI automation). 

Test Automation framework hands-on experience. 

Strong understanding of XPath, CSS selectors, waits, and web element handling. 

Experience with Page Object Model (POM) or other scalable automation patterns. 

Git or any version control system. 

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitHub / Azure DevOps). 

Good understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC. 

Strong debugging, analytical, and problemsolving skills.

Good-to-Have(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

BDD, Robot frameworks (Behave, Cucumber for Python). 

Experience with API automation (Python Requests, Postman). 

Knowledge of Allure / Extent Reports. 

Exposure to Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs. 

Basic knowledge of performance testing (Locust / JMeter). 

Knowledge of SQL for backend validation. 

Experience with Linux environment and shell scripting.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Selenium. 

Design scalable automation frameworks (PyTest, BDD, Robot, POM structure). 

Execute functional, regression, smoke, and UI automation. 

Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). 

Analyze test failures, raise defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution. 

Create and maintain test documentation, test cases, and test plans. 

Perform API testing using Python (requests) or Postman (optional). 

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning. 

Improve automation coverage and optimize existing scripts for better performance. 

Ensure high-quality releases by validating builds across different environments.
