Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Development:
    Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Cypress, JavaScript, and C# for web front-end and backend services.
  • Testing Strategy & Execution:
    Implement structured QA methodologies and automation testing processes for new features and legacy systems.
  • Test Planning & Documentation:
    Develop comprehensive test cases, test plans, and detailed documentation to support feature releases.
  • Defect Reporting & Metrics:
    Identify, report, and track software defects using industry-standard tools. Maintain key QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and issue resolution time.
  • Framework Development:
    Contribute to building and evolving the automation testing framework in collaboration with senior developers and QA engineers.
  • SDLC Collaboration:
    Work closely across all phases of the software development lifecycle, integrating quality early and often in agile sprint cycles.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in automating tests using Cypress
  • Strong working knowledge of C# and SQL Server
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for test data verification and setup
  • Skilled in API testing using Postman or Swagger
  • Solid grasp of JavaScript fundamentals – loops, arrays, comparisons, objects

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Exposure to performance or security testing tools
  • Familiarity with both white-box and black-box testing methodologies
