About the Role

We build AI-powered voice bots, chatbots, and automation products for the contact centre industry. As we scale our product suite, we need a QA Automation Engineer who can take ownership of product quality across the entire stack — from backend APIs to frontend interfaces to conversational AI flows. You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure every release meets business requirements, handles edge cases gracefully, and performs at the latency standards our customers expect.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the quality of our tech products end-to-end, ensuring they are reliable, performant, and free of regressions before every release.
  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive test plans and test cases, with a strong focus on identifying and covering edge cases that others might miss.
  • Write and maintain automated test suites for both backend services (API testing, integration testing) and frontend applications (UI testing, E2E flows).
  • Monitor and push for improvements in API response times and feature latency — work with developers to identify bottlenecks and ensure performance SLAs are met.
  • Validate frontend implementations against Figma designs to maintain pixel-level design accuracy and consistent UX quality across devices and browsers.
  • Test conversational AI products — chatbots and voice bots — across a wide range of user intents, language variations, fallback scenarios, and multi-turn dialogue flows.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD-integrated test pipelines that catch issues early and give the team fast feedback on every change.
  • Collaborate with developers to define testability requirements upfront and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, not just at the end.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one automation framework — Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar — for frontend/E2E testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools and frameworks — Postman, REST Assured, pytest, or similar — including writing automated tests for RESTful services.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable test scripts in Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience validating UI implementations against design specs (Figma or similar design tools), with an eye for detail on spacing, typography, responsiveness, and visual consistency.
  • Solid grasp of software testing fundamentals — test planning, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, regression strategy, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to push back on developers and stakeholders when quality standards aren’t being met.

Bonus / Good-to-Have

  • Experience testing AI/ML-powered products — chatbots, voice bots, or conversational AI systems — including testing for intent recognition accuracy, fallback handling, multi-turn context retention, and language switching.
  • Familiarity with testing LLM-based outputs — evaluating response quality, hallucination detection, and prompt-level regression testing.
  • Strong understanding of performance and latency testing — experience using tools like JMeter, Locust, k6, or similar to benchmark API and service response times.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and integrating automated tests into the deployment workflow.
  • Experience with visual regression testing tools (Percy, Chromatic, BackstopJS) for catching UI drift automatically.
  • Exposure to load testing voice/chat systems at scale — concurrent sessions, WebSocket connections, streaming responses.
  • Experience with mobile app testing (Android/iOS) and cross-platform test automation.
