About the job

Attack Capital is a US-based startup offering investors access to an index of Y Combinator startups. The company focuses on creating diversified exposure to early-stage technology ventures through a structured, data-driven investment approach. Currently open to accredited investors, Attack Capital emphasizes rigorous selection, transparency, and portfolio management. Team members join a lean, high-impact environment where technology and financial innovation intersect to build scalable investment products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test the product on production and staging on a regular schedule — web flows, APIs, edge cases — and raise detailed GitHub issues with clear repro steps, screenshots, and severity.
  • Monitor customer support channels daily; convert genuine user-reported problems into actionable bug tickets and follow up till closure.
  • Build and maintain an automated test suite (Playwright/Selenium + API tests) so regressions get caught before users see them.
  • Create and maintain a test case library / prompt library for AI features — you will own this end to end.
  • Publish a weekly engineering metrics report covering: PRs created, PRs merged, PRs closed unmerged, and PRs still open (via GitHub API / simple script — we'll give you access).
  • Coordinate with developers on bug fixes and verify fixes before release. You flag issues; you don't manage people.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3–6 years in QA / testing for web products or SaaS
  • Strong hands-on automation: Playwright or Selenium, plus API testing (Postman/REST)
  • Comfortable reading code (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python) and writing basic scripts
  • Working knowledge of Git and GitHub (issues, PRs, Actions)
  • Ability to write clear bug reports and communicate directly with developers
  • Self-driven — you will not be micromanaged, and we expect you not to need it

Good to Have

  • Experience testing AI/LLM-based products or writing prompt test suites
  • Basic SQL for checking data issues
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
  • Prior experience in a startup or small team where you owned quality alone

What We Offer

  • Direct ownership of product quality — your work is visible every week
  • Flexible, remote-first working
  • Work directly with the founder; fast decisions, zero bureaucracy
