About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Automation Tester / QA Engineer to support automated and manual testing of web and mobile applications. The role involves creating and executing automated test scripts, identifying and reporting defects, and working closely with developers to ensure product quality. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications under appropriate guidance.

• Perform manual and automated testing to identify functional and technical issues.

• Create and execute test cases based on product requirements and specifications.

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and usability testing.

• Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.

• Retest resolved defects and performed regression testing to ensure issues have been properly fixed.

• Support the development and maintenance of automation frameworks using tools such as TypeScript, Playwright, or Appium.

• Write and maintain clean, reusable, and well-organized automation scripts.

• Analyze automated test results and report failures or unexpected behavior.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality standards.

• Maintain test cases, automation scripts, test data, documentation, and test reports.

• Participate in test planning and contribute ideas to improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

• Assist in identifying repetitive manual test scenarios that can be automated.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Basic understanding of manual and automation testing concepts.

• Fundamental knowledge of at least one automation tool/framework such as:

◦ TypeScript

◦ Playwright

◦ Appium

• Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Understanding of locators, XPath/CSS selectors, assertions, waits, and basic test execution.

• Ability to write and execute test cases based on requirements.

• Basic knowledge of defect reporting and tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.

• Understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.

• Familiarity with API testing and tools such as Postman.

• Basic understanding of Git/GitHub or other version control systems.

• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins.

• Exposure to web or mobile application testing projects.

• Relevant QA/testing certifications.

• Academic, internship, or personal projects involving test automation.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. What We Offer
