Role : QA Tester - Senior Job ID : HBITS 07-14709 Location : Central Library 89-11 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11432 Client : NYS Queens Public Library Project/Program Web/Mobile Development and Application Support

Software QA Tester will perform a variety of QA-related tasks and act as primary tester on many projects, including requirements solicitation, documentation, testing strategy, writing test scripts, executing testing, and managing defects, Additionally, demonstrated application expertise is expected to be leveraged during testing efforts.

Day-to-Day Tasks Organizational and project priorities will dictate how much Manual QA and QA Automation work is performed during a given time frame.

Candidate will do both.

Manual QA Solicit and review QA requirements

Write and maintain test scripts

Perform testing

Report and track defects

Provide work logs and status reports to reporting manager

Mandatory Qualification Tester -

Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created/upgraded performs as necessary and meets the user requirements. Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for application teams. Understands the view of applications and/or technology and is able to put procedures in a logical sequence.

Senior -

60 - 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.

Requested Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 60 months experience working in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) environment. Experience must include both Agile and Waterfall methodology projects in a government or non-profit environment
• 60 months experience reviewing, soliciting, clarifying, and documenting requirements from business representatives and project team members.
• 60 months experience writing, maintaining, and executing manual test scripts across browsers, devices, and operating systems
• 60 months experience creating, managing, and maintaining test plans, test sets, and defect reporting processes in HP / Micro Focus ALM
• 18 months experience testing and business experience using Kronos Workforce Central 8.1. Responsibilities must have included documenting requirements, writing test scripts, executing testing, and assisting with training documentation. Demonstrated ability to automate system checks and permissions using Selenium, Java, Javascript, and Test NG on Eclipse or IntellIJ platforms.
• 18 months experience testing Drupal/PHP web and mobile development that integrates with SirsiDynix Symphony WebServices 6.4.3, Overdrive, and other 3rd party APIs. Demonstrated working knowledge of SymphonyWeb 4.1.1 with thorough understanding of industry terminology, processes and protocols
• 6 months experience testing SAP SuccessFactors Recruitment cloud solution. Demonstrated working knowledge of application needed to create and execute end-to-end process tests.
• 18 months experience working in a Public Library.
