IT QA Testing Lead Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT QA Testing Lead Specialist to lead testing efforts across complex applications and systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on QA leader who can drive strategy, manage a team, and ensure high-quality software delivery across the full testing lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a team of QA testers to ensure successful project delivery
• Define testing scope, strategy, and approach for releases and projects
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Oversee system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing efforts
• Track, manage, and resolve defects through to completion
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders on requirements and testing strategy
• Monitor testing progress, metrics, and quality standards across the test lifecycle
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure readiness for production release
• Build and maintain test environments, test data, and automation scripts
• Provide reporting on testing status, risks, and outcomes

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a QA Test Lead, including leading and mentoring teams
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC methodologies
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
• Ability to create and execute detailed test cases and scenarios
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing medium to complex queries
• Experience working with test management and automation tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, JMeter, Jenkins, Postman, or similar
• Ability to analyze data models and work with structured data (XML, flat files, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business teams

Nice to Have

• Experience in industries such as healthcare or financial services
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments
• Exposure to performance or security testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 6–8+ years of experience in IT, preferably in QA or development
• Prior experience leading QA teams (team size ~5 testers)
• Strong experience with manual testing (primary) and automation (secondary)
• Experience working with data warehousing environments and cross-database querying
