General Summary

The Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality of all Web and Mobile applications. This role guarantees that products meet all defined requirements before release to the business unit or customer. Collaborating with Project Leads, Business Managers, and Project Teams, the QA Tester helps define product requirements, creates test plans and scenarios, and develops comprehensive product test cases. The position involves executing test plans, managing exceptions, tracking bugs, and resolving issues. The QA Tester will assess software quality through both manual and automated testing.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test software programs/components to verify functionality and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in project teams to ensure quality product delivery and appropriate test coverage.
  • Manage and track product bugs, exceptions, and issues.
  • Review test outcomes with the team and expand test scenarios for broader coverage.
  • Create test plans and document testing scenarios, including various test types (e.g., performance, regression).
  • Collaborate with the project team to write test plans, prepare test cases, and document outcomes.
  • Identify appropriate test methods and develop test data.
  • Work closely with Project Leads, Business Managers, and Developers to maintain quality testing processes.
  • Participate in reviews to understand the product and its requirements.
  • Work with the QA Automation team to define automation test cases and maintain automated scripts.
  • Execute automated scripts and SQL scripts for testing purposes.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of manual testing experience (Web/Mobile).
  • 1-2 years of automation testing experience.
  • Experience with iOS and Android testing.
  • Familiarity with API testing and understanding of CI/CD processes.
  • Knowledge of tools like Expo, Git, GitHub, SQL, Appium, ITSM (IT Service management).
  • Understanding of exploratory testing and development life cycles.
  • Experience with test case management and bug tracking systems.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Postman, SharePoint, Teams and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Open to US eastern morning working hours.
