QA Automation Engineer (SQL, Snowflake, Looker, Playwright)

Job Summary We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in data validation and UI/API automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SQL, Snowflake, Looker, and Playwright, with a solid understanding of modern testing practices in data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.

Perform data validation and testing using SQL and Snowflake to ensure accuracy and integrity across systems.

Validate dashboards, reports, and data pipelines built on Looker.

Develop and execute end-to-end test scenarios covering UI, API, and data layers.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and data engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

Identify, log, and track defects with detailed root cause analysis.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and automation frameworks.

Participate in test planning, estimation, and sprint activities in Agile environments.

Required Skills Automation: Hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)

Database: Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, complex queries)

Data Warehousing: Experience with Snowflake

BI/Analytics: Hands-on validation/testing of dashboards in Looker

Testing Concepts: Functional, regression, integration, and data testing

API Testing: Experience with REST APIs (Postman/automation libraries)

Version Control & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions
