We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer / SDET with strong hands-on experience in test automation, API/UI testing, and Python. The ideal candidate will work across functional, automation, data, and end-to-end testing for cloud-based, data-intensive applications. This is a hands-on QA engineer who can own quality end-to-end, build and maintain automation independently, troubleshoot failures, validate complex data workflows, and work closely with engineering teams to continuously improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional and end-to-end workflows. 
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Python. 
• Perform API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. 
• Validate backend data and analytics outputs using SQL. 
• Test data-intensive applications, including data pipelines and ETL workflows. 
• Identify test scenarios suitable for automation based on risk, business impact, and coverage. 
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins. 
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. 
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution using Jira or similar tools. 
• Perform manual testing for scenarios that cannot be effectively automated. 
• Support validation and root-cause analysis of production issues. 
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to understand requirements and ensure product quality. 
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve testability and overall software quality. 

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in QA automation / SDET roles. 
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright. 
• Strong programming skills in Python. 
• Strong experience with API and UI testing. 
• Experience testing data-heavy, analytics, or SaaS applications. 
• Strong SQL skills for backend/data validation. 
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. 
• Practical experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines. 
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and continuous integration practices. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. 
• Excellent communication and documentation skills. 

Nice to Have:

• Experience with pytest. 
• Experience with Ginkgo / Go and BDD-style testing. 
• Experience with Golang. 
• Experience with ETL/data pipeline testing. 
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, and VPC. 
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools. 
• Experience with Jira or similar defect management tools.
