Software Test Lead (Automation)

Job description

We are a Noida based software company developing software products & projects for our customers in Banking, Insurance, Agri, and ERP domains. Currently, our software testing department is proficient in manual testing only. Now we plan to aggressively switch to automation in software testing using Playwrite and other relevant testing tools/frameworks/platforms. We are therefore looking for a leader in software testing with extensive experience in testing automation, who will set up automation testing team, processes, and infra-structure. He will be responsible for ensuring that the software, being released by the company, is thoroughly tested and is bug-free.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all Testing efforts across multiple Fintech projects. Highly experienced in defining, implementing, and continuously refining comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.
• Manage, guide and mentor the testing team, drive a collaborative and high-performing environment. Ensure timely project delivery and adherence to quality benchmarks.
• Proficient with Fintech applications and testing processes, compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Central Bank guidelines and other regulatory requirements)
• Proficient with security standards and testing inherent to the Fintech applications.
• Lead automation initiatives, identify opportunities for test automation and implement automation frameworks (using Playwright). Oversee and execute performance testing as needed, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring application scalability.
• Proficient with QA processes, tools, and methodologies like the agile framework.
• Prepare and present testing status reports to management.

Requirements:

• Strong in-depth knowledge of Fintech applications and workflows.
• Proficient with test automation frameworks
• Proficient with test automation tool Playwright
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Expertise in various manual testing techniques
• Experience with testing and project management tools like Jira, ALM, and Confluence, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to the business stakeholders.
• Leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and guiding junior developers.
