About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ETRM Allegro Test Engineer to join our client’s product team in the energy industry. The role involves testing and validating changes, enhancements, and new features within the Allegro ETRM system, along with supporting L3 incident management and ensuring system quality, reliability, and performance.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

* Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios in collaboration with Business Analysts and Developers.

* Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

* Automate test cases wherever possible to improve testing efficiency.

* Validate system changes, enhancements, and new functionalities.

* Perform API testing, data validation, and basic SQL testing.

* Track defects, troubleshoot issues, and support root-cause analysis.

* Manage test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.

* Prepare and maintain comprehensive testing documentation.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support L3 incidents and improve system quality.

* Leverage AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot to improve test design, requirement analysis, and documentation.

🔹 Required Skills & Experience

* Hands-on experience in software testing, particularly functional and regression testing.

* Understanding of Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) processes.

* Experience working with ETRM systems; Allegro ETRM experience is a strong advantage.

* Knowledge of energy commodities such as Power, Gas, Renewables, and Environmental products.

* Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Test Plans, and Confluence.

* Strong understanding of test case design, test execution, defect management, and test reporting.

* Experience in API testing, data validation, and basic SQL queries.

* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

* Familiarity with AI-powered tools for software testing and documentation is an advantage.

🎯 Ideal Candidate Profile

• Candidates with hands-on Allegro ETRM testing experience, exposure to energy trading processes, and strong functional/regression testing skills will be preferred.
