About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Playwright Automation Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright. You will play a key role in ensuring software quality, validating application functionality, and supporting continuous delivery through automated testing and CI/CD integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Build scalable, reusable, and reliable test automation frameworks.
- Develop automated test suites for:
- Smoke Testing (site availability, HTTPS validation, basic navigation)
- Critical business workflows and user journeys
- Regression and release validation testing
- Execute automated tests locally and through CI/CD pipelines.
- Support parallel test execution and optimize test performance.
- Analyze and troubleshoot test failures to identify:
- Application defects
- Infrastructure/configuration issues
- Environment-specific behavior changes
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Maintain automation documentation, test reports, and dashboards.
- Continuously improve automation framework stability and execution efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to QA best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with Playwright .NET or Java is an added advantage.
- Experience in end-to-end automation testing for modern web applications.
- Strong understanding of:
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Browser behavior and rendering concepts
- HTTP/HTTPS protocols and web communication
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools such as:
- Azure DevOps
- GitHub Actions
- Jenkins
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Ability to create robust and resilient automation scripts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
