We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to join our team in delivering cutting-edge custom software solutions tailored for the higher education sector. This role requires strong experience in both manual and automation testing across web, API, and integration layers. Lead key QA workstreams across projects using standard methodologies and transparent communication.

Ensure quality and performance of our custom software services through structured testing and deployment practices.

Collaborate closely with consulting, development, and implementation teams to exceed client expectations.

Conduct root cause analysis of complex issues and contribute to resolution strategies.

Stay up-to-date on Ellucian applications and demonstrate an ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Key Responsibilities

Design and execute both manual and automated test plans for functional, regression, integration, UI, and API testing.

Analyze business and technical requirements to derive test strategies and ensure test coverage.

Create and maintain test scripts using tools like Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Execute and maintain automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or GitLab.

Conduct SQL-based testing for data validation and backend verification.

Contribute to smoke, negative/positive, performance, and end-to-end test scenarios.

Document defects and test results clearly, providing actionable feedback to development teams.

Work with Agile Scrum teams to ensure continuous delivery and testing excellence.

Participate in client engagements, including business process analysis, training, and configuration of Ellucian solutions.
What You Bring

5–7 years of QA experience across manual and automation testing environments.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Proven experience in:

UI, API, and integration testing

Test automation using Playwright/TypeScript, Selenium, and Postman

Performance testing with tools like JMeter

SQL for data validation and backend checks

CI/CD tools: Jenkins and GitLab pipelines

Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking.

Background in JavaScript, React, Node.js, Oracle SQL, and RESTful web services.
